北京 'Denizens of the Northern Capital'
Crocodile Cafe, London. September - December 2012
A selection of 16 original photographs from a wider documentary
series captured in Beijing in 2011.
“The strength of a nation derives from the integrity of the home”
The streets of all large cities bustle with commuting hordes but
for the people of Beijing the streets are more than mere
thoroughfares, they are a vast common ground where residents
socialise; playing board games or sport at all hours of the day and
night. Aspects of private lives are played out in a very public way.
This exhibition sought to reflect the accessible intimacy of the
people of Beijing.

'Man Thou Art A Wonderful Animal'
Liverpool Cathedral & Westminster Central Hall 2012
An innovative large scale exhibition exploring the evidence for evolution and responses to it, through stunning photographs of the natural world and emotive quotations.
Evolution remains a subject that, regardless of the facts, still divides opinion. The project was conceived to challenge perceptions and stimulate thought on truth, faith, knowledge and humanity. It opened a doorway to explore the subject of evolution through some of the best visual evidence.

Work in progress 2016
Timed to coincide with the introduction of plain packaging for cigarettes in the UK and France this project explores the decline and looming collapse of the tobacco industry. The ethics involved in both trading in dangerous consumables such as tobacco and to those of controlling such a trade. Particular focus on the limitation of individual freedom of choice and corporate freedom of expression and the dangers of setting precedents in those areas.
This mixed media project will be comprised of documentary audio recordings, photographic art prints and sculpture.
It is currently in the latter stages of research and development and in the process of securing locations and applying for funding.
